(Jan. 13, 2008): Brazilian Adriano Bastos, donning a “Goofy” hat and waving a Brazilian flag, leaps across the finish line Jan. 13, 2008, to win the 2008 Walt Disney World Marathon in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Bastos, 29, of Sao Paulo, Brazil, posted a winning time of 2:20:58. With today’s victory, Bastos has now won five of the 15 total Disney Marathon events. More than 18,000 athletes, an event record, registered to run the 26.2-mile race through all four Walt Disney World theme parks. (Matt Stroshane, photographer)
